But, as he pointed out, there is a problem with that! 2000 years ago the veil was torn and the dwelling place of God is no longer confined to a building - the building isn't the church, the people are! Maybe the American church will begin to look more like Christ when we recognize this essential truth and stop feeding our children nursery rhymes with bad theology. It should read:
"Here is a building, it may or may not have a steeple.
Open the doors and see the church - the people!"

Ha-ha....I remember singing that song. Yeah, back when Lori and Robin were growing up most all (local) churches had steeples. This generation is really moving away from that type of bldg, although I must admit I loved the aesthetics of many of those old churches. But,.I digress, you are right on! WE, the Body of Christ are the Church, as Eph 2:19-22, so aptly tells us.
